THE INSTRUMENTS
THE PIPE ORGAN
Our pipe organ began life as an 8-rank Hillgreen Lane (Alliance, Ohio) in 1947.
The instrument was rebuilt in 2017 by Timothy Smith, Organ Builder, Red Lion, Pa.
For the overhaul, the organ was completely dismantled. All pipes were removed for cleaning and repair.
Three new ranks of pipes were added, new wind chests installed, the pipe chamber was reconfigured, and a larger blower motor was installed. A new attic system for the blower was built to maintain consistency in air temperatures and tuning.
The current eleven ranks of pipes give the organ more flexibility and variety of sounds.
THE PIANO
Our piano, a 5’7” Boston (made by Steinway), was purchased in 2015.
